Dobby's story started in a flooded Houston gutter, where he was found by someone hearing his sad meows from below the street. As Dobby was pulled to safety, his rescuer saw that he was severely injured. 

She would soon realize that he had severe damage to his legs and pelvis, injuries that were sustained so early in his life that at eight weeks he already has poorly-healed
fractures!  His left rear leg and foot face backward!

Will Dobby walk again? Yes, but the price of one precious kitten
scampering around the house is $3,500, and Dobby's rescuer can’t do it alone. 

Could there be a worse time to ask for donations than the current slump? No, surely not. 

Does Dobby know that times are hard? He doesn't have a clue.  He only knows that now he no longer has to struggle just to survive. He is warm and safe and well fed. Kind hands touch him.
