Sweets plopped down in a neighbor's yard, feet from two small children playing. She was sweet to everyone who walked up to her, hence her name. She was obviously owned and loved, we later realized - she knows commands, is housebroken, good with people and kids. But her owner(s) could not be located. She has been fully vetted and is healthy. She is being fostered but in desperate need of a forever home that can give her the attention she is craving.
Sweets loves hugs from all. She loves to play ball, especially with ones that squeak. She loves walks and is very well behaved on the leash. She does not have a strong prey drive and is just curious about cats and squirrels that she sees out on her walks. However, due to her strength and curiosity, it is not recommended that she go to a home with cats or small dogs. She is a dominant dog with other dogs (not dominant to humans) so placement with other dogs will depend on their personalities. She may do best in a household as the only pet. Sweets would be an excellent family dog or for a single female that wants a loyal, loving, active dog that she can feel safe with walking but who is not aggressive, just looks it for protection. Sweets is just eager to please, play with you and be your buddy.
