Looking 4 Love
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION
She's approximately 18 months old and weighs approx 60 lbs, she'll probably fill out another 10-15 lbs. German Shepherds do not fully mature until 2-3 years of age. She is crate-trained and house-trained, will do well with her adoptive family once they establish a regular routine and schedule with her. She is currently in foster care, fed 2x a day a grain free dog food. She rides fine in the car, walks nicely on-leash. Knows a couple of commands. She's a bit on the shy side, but warms up quickly after some bellyrubs & baby talk. With proper training, she'll be a good hiking, running, walking companion. Needs a home with no cats or small dogs. Seeking a loving and responsible home environment that has previous dog-parenting experience. She is maintained primarily indoors, goes outside for the usual playtime and potty routine. New family should be willing to maintain in a similar fashion. She is current on all of her vaccines, dewormed, micro-chipped, spayed, and current on flea/tick prevention. She did test low heartworm positive and will be treated accordingly. You should have prior experience being a pet parent to a dog this size, a realistic understanding of the cost associated with caring for a furry family member, the time needed, and financial ability to do so. Experience with similar "working breeds" is good, e.g. a dog this size, Labradors, German Shepherds, Rotties, Huskies, Pitbulls, etc. Your home should have a fenced in yard or area, minimum six feet high, should be in good condition with no gaps where a dog might be able to dig under or squeeze through. Her adoption fee is $125, veterinary records will be supplied as part of her adoption. If you are seriously interested in adoption, please complete an application by going here: http://tomballsos.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2481. No meetings will take place without a completed application.
