Marcel is all vetted now, current on vaccines, neutered, current on all dewormings, current on flea/tick prevention, started on heartworm prevention, micro-chipped, and ready for a home. All puppy, cat-friendly, dog-friendly (big & small), he is crate-trained and will whine/bark when he needs to go potty if he is in a crate/kennel. We are working on house-breaking, if he gets on an established schedule he should do okay. He lives to play, is extremely affectionate, loves to be in your lap, and likes the squeaky toys. Introducing him to walking on a leash and he does okay with that, with food motivation he will do a "sit", and if someone is keen to do some more training with him he would love it. For a young puppy, he does very well and sleeps through the night in his crate without any issues once you put him down and lights out.

The vet thinks he will stay a little guy, under 12 lbs. A good committed home willing to take on a cuddler who is basically a happy go-lucky little munchkin is what is sought for him. Kids would probably be a good fit for him as he loves to be in "play mode", he is not a "yapper", he will let you know when you need to get up and give him breakfast and if he has to "handle his business". He is maintained indoors, outside for potty and supervised play--he likes to "explore", he has food allergies and is on a grain-free dry dog food diet.  His new family should be willing to ensure that he continues on a decent quality grain-free dog food. He also needs a secure area to play in, i.e. fenced area.
