Jax is a loveable goofball who has never met a stranger. He's a happy little guy who enjoys playing with stuffed toys, other dogs, and car rides. He is also a lap baby and has no issues with curling up in your lap for a snooze while you watch TV. He was rescued from a family who did not seek immediate medical attention for him when he was hit by a car and just left him running around outside with a broken rear leg. Since being rescued, he had surgery to repair the leg which has physically healed, Jax will still hold the leg sometimes out of habit but he runs, walks, and otherwise has no issues with it. The vet says that sometimes when an animal has had a leg injury a dog will still "favor it" out of habit for awhile even after it has healed.
Jax has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, micro-chipped, and brought current on all flea/heartworm prevention. If he is crated he will alert to let you know that he needs to go out and potty. In his current foster home, he free roams in the guest bedroom with a baby-gate across the doorway and does pretty well. An ideal home for him is with moderately active responsible people who are looking for an affectionate love-bug to add to their family. Another dog friend for him would be great, and children 9 years and older would be fine. He is maintained indoors and his new family should be willing to continue maintaining him as such. If you are interested in adding Jax to your family, please complete an application. More about JaxGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Video of Jax:
